Every engagement session tells a unique story, and capturing the love between L & H was an experience I won't soon forget. We talked about this vision and they wanted a blend of the historic and fun energy of downtown with the serene, golden-hour glow of a field right before the sun went down. It was a journey through contrasts, capturing the essence of their relationship in two stunning locations.
Downtown SPOKANE Vibes:
We started our session in the heart of downtown Spokane, WA. The city provided a dynamic backdrop, full of architecture and history, perfect for capturing candid moments and genuine emotions. L & H told me a few times that they were nervous because they had never had couples photos together, but they were complete naturals in front of the camera, their chemistry shining through as they navigated the urban landscape.
The towering buildings gave our photos a vibrant, energetic feel. We checked out an area between the heart of downtown and Browne's Addition and took some photos with the columns and the beautiful doorways.
Then we hopped in my car and headed to the edge of Kendall Yards to show more of the city scape and iconic landmarks, finding the perfect spots that showcased their personalities and the love they share. The urban setting was not just a backdrop but a character in their love story, adding depth and dimension to each shot.
As the sun began to dip towards the horizon, we hopped over to a local field where H's parents were there with their sweet sweet pup! The contrast from the city scapes to the cool summer field was breathtaking, felt like stepping into a different world.
Golden hour is a magical time for any photographer, and this session was no exception. The soft, warm light enveloped L, H & A, creating a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere. When we first arrived there were beautiful flowers by the entrance (can you tell the below photos were taken next to a porta-potty?!), and we just had to capture the beauty that nature was providing!! And, how cute is their pup?!?!?!
The field, with its tall grasses swaying gently in the breeze, provided a perfect canvas for capturing their tender moments and their Bachelor-style jumps and laughter!!
They danced, laughed, and shared quiet, intimate moments as the sun set, painting the sky. The simplicity of the field allowed their love to take center stage, creating images that are both timeless and enchanting.
What made this session so special was the perfect blend of two distinct environments. The urban shots captured their playful, adventurous spirit, while the golden hour field photos highlighted their deep connection and love. Together, they tell a complete story of who L & H are as a couple.
